Euan Abernethy

Euan has deep experience in delivering board-level advice to corporates, and advising on cross-border financings, listings and M&A. Formerly Chairman of the New Zealand Securities Commission and member of IOSCO’s committee on market regulation, Euan was a partner at Bell Gully in Wellington, New Zealand for thirty years. He is a director of a number of financial institutions.

Acted for: the New Zealand Government on the privatisation of a number of state assets, including New Zealand Rail and the finance section of New Zealand Post; Dalgety New Zealand in its joint ventures in Europe and Asia; the Government of Kazakhstan on the upgrade and extensions to its refinery.
